ECM took the genuine 1802cc two-cylinder boxer engine from the BMW R 18 motorcycle and rebuilt it into a fully functional single-group espresso machine, hand-assembled in a strictly limited run of just 80 pieces worldwide. The polished cylinder heads, finned casing, and analog pressure gauges are the real thing, now plumbed to pull espresso instead of turn a crank.

Under the chrome and gloss-black bodywork sits serious coffee hardware. A patented ECM E61 brew group with a stainless steel brew bell delivers the temperature stability and mechanical pre-infusion the E61 has been trusted for since 1961. A 1.9 litre stainless steel boiler and a whisper-quiet rotary pump feed two independent water circuits, so you can pull a shot and steam milk at the same time, just like a commercial bar machine. Boiler and pump pressure gauges, a digital shot timer, three selectable brew temperatures, and switchable pre-infusion give you full command over every cup, and the machine can be plumbed straight into a water line.
