These tamper bases are compatible with Asso's Ergo and Flag line of tampers. The concentric circle bases made of sturdy material AISI316 (stainless steel) allow for a longer extraction time. The the result is a more consistent crema and sweeter taste compared to coffee tamped with a convex base.
