The tamper is an important tool for making espresso. By tamping the grounds tightly, pressure is built up, hot water flows evenly through the coffee grounds and the aromatic oils are released.

The updated Profitec tamper provides an ergonomic grip for the optimum pressure when tamping and is 58mm, which will fit all profitec espresso machines and others with the standard 58mm portafilter.
