This is a unique coffee from Daterra Farms in Brazil. This lot was inspired by the artist Mario de Andrade and was part of Daterra's 2022 auction.
Daterra is one of the world-famous farms in Brazil, where coffee is produced with an inspiring commitment to quality and sustainability. All Daterra Farms coffees have been Rainforest Alliance certified since 2003, meaning the coffee is grown on farms where forests, rivers and soils are protected; wildlife is conserved; workers are paid decent wages and given access to medical care and education.
The coffee beans used in this lot are of the Catigua varietal, a hybrid of Catuai and Hibrido de Timor. This hybrid was developed by the Agricultural Research Company of Minas Gerais (EPAMIG) in Brazil in the 1980s and is known for its unique and desirable flavour profile.
